Mike Pratt – PGA, Head Golf Professional

Mike discovered his passion for the game at the Bass Rocks Golf Club in Gloucester MA. caddying and later playing his high school golf there. He began his career at the Ipswich CC where he spent 5 seasons as the Outside Services Supervisor responsible for staff, operations, fleet management, and club repair.

In 2003 Mike took the position of Assistant Golf Professional at the Indian Ridge CC where he spent 12 years teaching, coordinating tournament operations, merchandising, staff supervision and member relations. He also spent 5 seasons as the Head Coach of the Andover High Golf Team which qualified for States 3 of those years. Several of his players went on to play in college. In 2010 he became a Class A PGA member. Over the years, Mike has continued to expand his knowledge by attending USGA, NEPGA and PGA seminars on Rules, Handicaps, and Teaching.

Mike joined the team here at York Golf & Tennis Club in 2015 with 17 years of experience covering all facets in the game of golf. He was elevated to Head Golf Professional in 2019 and continues to create a professional and welcoming atmosphere that exceeds the standards of York members and guests alike. His teaching philosophy has always been based on fundamentals geared toward the individual’s specific needs and capabilities. From beginner to accomplished player his mission is to help you develop a consistent and dependable golf swing and have more fun.

William Parker – PGA, Assistant Golf Professional

Will found his love for golf at the age of 12 in rural northwestern Connecticut. After attending multiple Nike Golf Camps at Williams College, it was only a matter of time before he knew he wanted to make a career in the golf industry. Will played four years of high school varsity golf and led the team as captain for three of those years. He then continued his passion at Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Professional Golf Management. When he graduated, he received his Class A PGA certification in April of 2016.

Upon graduating, he became an entry-level assistant at Columbine Country Club in Littleton, Colorado. After discovering his love for the mountains and high-altitude golf, he moved to Durango, Colorado where he was an Assistant Professional or three years at The Glacier Club. Will played an important role in tournament operations, outside service management, teaching, and customer relations. Over the last few years, Will has attended numerous seminars including Teaching Proficiency, USGA Rules and Regulations, and Tournament Software.

Will joins the York Golf and Tennis team with a thorough understanding of the game and business of golf. As part of the York Golf staff, he will assist in tournament and facility operations as well as conduct private lessons and Junior clinics. His teaching philosophy is simplifying the game to work with his student’s strengths, with a focus on mental strategy. When he is not at the club, you can catch Will exploring the beauty of the Maine wilderness with his canine adventure pal, Luna.

Eric Aguiar – PGA Associate

A native to New Hampshire, Eric Aguiar started playing golf as a sophomore at Plymouth Regional
High School. His passion and love for the sport pushed him to pursue an undergraduate degree in
Business Administration in Outdoor Recreation at the University of Farmington in Maine. During his
time here, Eric was an active member of the golf team and led his team as captain his Junior and
Senior season. Eric gained three collegiate wins, as well as, the accolades of First Team
All-Conference his sophomore year and Second Team All-Conference his junior year.
After graduating, Eric began his journey into the profession as the Assistant Golf Professional at Lake
Winnipesaukee Golf Club. This experience helped him gain valuable experience in customer service,
golf instruction, and tournament/business operations. He furthered his leadership skills by serving on
the New England Assistant Association board as Vice President in 2021. During the winter months
through 2019-2021, Eric was an Assistant Golf Professional at Pelican Marsh Golf Club in Naples,
FL. This experience helped Eric further develop his professional and competitive experience. Eric is
currently registered as a PGA Associate and his passion for the business of golf inspires him to
continue to be a certified PGA Professional.
Eric offers instruction in private lessons, group lessons, short game lessons, junior lessons, and
playing lessons. Eric believes that every golf swing is unique, and the real enjoyment in the game is
challenging yourself to be the best you can possibly be.
