The 18 hole William Wilson course was designed by Donald Ross. The professionally staffed, full-service golf facility offers unsurpassed quality programming and facilities for the novice through advanced player, and youngsters through senior players. The ultimate goal of our professional golf staff is to promote activities for each participant. Activities include matching, lessons, leagues, socials, tournament play and much more.
The clubhouse features a full-service bar, an extensive grill menu, an outside deck with a view of the 1st and 18th holes, and men’s and ladies’ locker rooms. Course services include a driving range, putting green, electric covered golf carts, paved cart paths, and a halfway house.

Mike Pratt -
PGA,
Head Golf Professional
Mike discovered his passion for the game at the Bass Rocks Golf Club in Gloucester, Massachusetts caddying and later playing his high school golf there. He began his career at the Ipswich CC where he spent 5 seasons as the Outside Services Supervisor responsible for staff, operations, fleet management, and club repair.
In 2003 Mike took the position of Assistant Golf Professional at the Indian Ridge CC where he spent 12 years teaching, coordinating tournament operations, merchandising, staff supervision and member relations. He also spent 5 seasons as the Head Coach of the Andover High Golf Team which qualified for States 3 of those years. Several of his players went on to play in college. In 2010 he became a Class A PGA member. Over the years, Mike has continued to expand his knowledge by attending USGA, NEPGA and PGA seminars on Rules, Handicaps, and Teaching.
Mike joined the team here at York Golf & Tennis Club in 2015 with 17 years of experience covering all facets in the game of golf. He was elevated to Head Golf Professional in 2019 and continues to create a professional and welcoming atmosphere that exceeds the standards of York members and guests alike. His teaching philosophy has always been based on fundamentals geared toward the individual’s specific needs and capabilities. From beginner to accomplished player his mission is to help you develop a consistent and dependable golf swing and have more fun.
Will found his love for golf at the age of 12 in rural northwestern Connecticut. After attending multiple Nike Golf Camps at Williams College, it was only a matter of time before he knew he wanted to make a career in the golf industry. Will played four years of high school varsity golf and led the team as captain for three of those years. He then continued his passion at Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Professional Golf Management. When he graduated, he received his Class A PGA certification in April of 2016.
Upon graduating, he became an entry-level assistant at Columbine Country Club in Littleton, Colorado. After discovering his love for the mountains and high-altitude golf, he moved to Durango, Colorado where he was an Assistant Professional for three years at The Glacier Club. Will played an important role in tournament operations, outside service management, teaching, and customer relations. Over the last few years, Will has attended numerous seminars including Teaching Proficiency, USGA Rules and Regulations, and Tournament Software.
Will joined the York Golf and Tennis team in 2020 with a thorough understanding of the game and business of golf. As part of the York Golf staff, he assists in tournament and facility operations as well as conducting private lessons and Junior clinics. His teaching philosophy is simplifying the game to work with his student’s strengths, with a focus on mental strategy. When he is not at the club, you can catch Will out on the course or exploring the beauty of Maine.

Eric Aguiar, a native of New Hampshire, discovered his passion for golf during his sophomore year of high school. This passion propelled him to pursue a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Outdoor Recreation at the University of Maine at Farmington. Throughout college, Eric played Varsity Golf distinguished himself as a prominent member of the golf team, serving as captain during his junior and senior seasons. His collegiate career was marked by three wins, along with recognition as a First Team All-Conference player in his sophomore year and Second Team All-Conference in his junior year.
Following his graduation, Eric joined the team as an Assistant Golf Professional at Lake Winnipesaukee Golf Club in New Durham, NH during the summer months and traveled to Naples, FL as an Assistant Golf Professional at Pelican Marsh Golf Club. These roles provided him with invaluable experience in customer service, golf instruction, and tournament and business operations. He further honed his leadership abilities by serving as the Vice President of the New England Assistant Association board in 2021.
Today, Eric holds the esteemed status of being a Class A PGA Member and an ADM Certified golf coach. He offers a range of instructional services, including private lessons, group sessions, short game clinics, junior coaching, and on-course playing lessons. Eric's philosophy centers on recognizing the uniqueness of every golfer's swing, believing that the true joy of the game lies in the continuous pursuit of personal excellence.
